Lol. Now the apple haters will be like "but yeah, of course it will bend if you apply too much pressure on it"
 
Apparently the copied and improved on Apple's bendability, the Samsung is easier to bend!!!!
 
Not surprised. Thin aluminium chassis covered by glass both sides. Not much rigidity.

Yep a fairer test would be the normal s6 so why didn't they test that?That's just weird.

Another thing to consider is that the normal iphone 6 was weaker than the plus which is tested here vs the weaker version of the s6 and yet nobody really had any issues so the bending seems to be negligible.

How do you know the s6 edge is weaker than the normal s6? There hasn't been any test to prove that yet.

Why would it be more fair to test against the iPhone 6 since they are testing the same size phone and the iPhone 6 is obviously a smaller phone.

When the iPhone 6 and 6 plus was launched and "bendgate" was discovered it was such a massive thing. All the fandroids were going on and on about it and now when the s6 edge is tested and found to suffer the same "bendgate" all of a sudden it's negligible?

The video shows the screen cracking at the bevel, even though the phone still worked. It would be a valid assumption then that the normal S6 will hold out better because it doesn't have a glass bevel, not?

And the reason we laugh at iPhones bending isn't so much the bending, it's because they're supposed to be premium devices while they demonstrably aren't.

Bend tests and their supposed importance should be buried away and forgotten.

Yes at the end of the day even though the iphone 6 has the the second lowest score in bend tests I have never felt like I have to baby or take extra care of my iphone 6 and it hasn't bent in my pocket while I go about my daily life not even thinking about being careful with my phone in my pocket.

In fact the phone with the lowest score is the HTC One and I haven't heard of any HTC One owners complaining that they bent their phones or that it's a weak phone.

So Squaretrade have tested the S6 edge and found not only does it take a similar amount of force to bend as an iPhone 6 Plus, but when the force is applied the S6 Edge is more likely to shatter while the iPhone just bent and remained usable.

I wonder what the anti-iPhone people will have to say now? ;)

Both the Galaxy S6 Edge and iPhone 6 Plus bent at approximately 110 pounds of pressure, according to tests performed by third-party warranty firm SquareTrade. Unlike the iPhone — which merely bent — the S6 Edge suffered a cracked screen as well.

This puts Samsung in a potentially embarrassing situation. The company was one of many that piled on Apple after stories of bent iPhone 6 Plus units began to surface last year. and now finds itself in the same unwanted spotlight.

Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge flagship handset was put to the test this week and found to be susceptible to bending under the exact same force as Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, putting the South Korean conglomerate on the hotseat in "Bendgate" redux.

SquareTrade also tested HTC's new One M9, which bent — and broke completely — at 120 pounds of pressure.

SquareTrade said that while these results may not constitute "Bendgate 2," they could be even worse for Samsung fans than Apple's own PR issues of last year.

"Because instead of a bent phone, they may have a pocket full of glass," they said.

Sony Z series all bend and shatter. Some just shatter without bending.
