Galaxy tab 10.1 inch/ is it worth while?

I've have the genuis idea of not doing an cellphone upgrade but rather changing the new handset for a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 inch (Keep using my old blackberry for voicecalls).

Will be using the tablet for a diary and emailing clients.

any comments ? is it any good or should I go for an Ipad?
 
Well i don't have a samsung but i bought a vodafone 10.1" tab and it's the most amazing device ever.

I use it for email, skype, movies, music, diary and so on. I am not sure about the ipad but android has so many amazing apps which i am sure the ipad does as well.

I only bought this one because it was 5k and i usually leave this sort of thing after two weeks but wow i love it and run my entire work life off it. I would imagine though if you have cash get the ipad it looks bloody epic. My cheap vodafone tab can play mkv files without an issue so i would imagine the ipad must be amazing.

Don't get a new phone if you don't need one, tablets are simply the way forward and i am surprised that more people don't own one because skype calling is so much cheaper :D.

Thx for the reply. Yes I agree tabvlets the way forward and like 'playing' with new gadgets! So the tab it is then!

I have the 10.1" and it's great for media content, also browsing, mail, movies and and and. You'd be surprised the Ipad2 actually struggles at certain things the 10.1" excels at. What about looking at the 8.9 or the 7.7" as those would be the ideal size I think, sometimes the 10.1" is a little big.
 
I have the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 & love it! I have rooted mine, and running CyanogenMod ICS 4.0.3. Camera not working yet... but it will come. I love mine... big time! I sit in bed and read books at night or browse the net or chat.... I also have a few apps for editing docs and xls files etc. Have my work mail setup in the mail client and personal in the gmail app. A cool app similar to Iphone's Sirry is Andy.... if u like that type of thing...
 
I also have the 10.1 but I wouldn't buy it right now. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 was just announced and will be arriving here shortly. Alternatively there is also the upcoming Galaxy Note 10.1 and a rumored 11.6... Bottom line, wait 2 months and get the updated model
