Good day

I am planning to get a galaxy tab, but then when i looked at the price, it's very simliar to a notebook price..

So i was just wondering.. since there are so many options nowdays.. which one is better to get?

I'm more keen on the Tab, but I don't know..

so just want to hear the opinions of others..

I'm going to use it for educational purposes.. like taking down notes and drawings and stuff.. and obviously PDF.. so yeah..

Thanks

Content creation: get a laptop.
Content consumption: get a tablet.

Depends on which of these two functions you plan do do most. A tablet will frustrate you if you need to do a lot of content creation. You should also consider the MacBook Air or similar.

Tablet - realy long batery life, quick startup super portable - down side no keboard or mouse not great for intensive work
Notebook -ok batery life (but only a few hours), great for intensive work but long boot up time and not as portable
Im thinking you would probably need a laptop with touchscreen capbality like the Hp touch smart laptop range (just an exmple i could thik off im sure ther are others) that way you have the versatility of a pc and the ability to take notes and draw of a touch screen

I don't think I'll need intense work, because I just want to take down notes, be able to look at ppt really quick like to check with someone is asking something or text books.. So yeah..

Yeah.. Not sure.. because with a tablet.. and notebook.. Jsut that.. can get a good notebook with the price of a tab.. eish.. difficult to decide...

Get an ultra notebook (MacBook Air or similar for Windows) if youhave doubts. Seriously. Only get a tablet when you are sure the content creation angle is properly covered with another device. A tablet should not be the only device but an addition to an existing setup. Sure, tablets can run independant, but it is not an appropriate solution on its own for most students imo.

Yeah, I know what you mean..

I have a desktop computer.. an Ok one.. not the best, not the slowest.. so I'm fine with the extension.. I don't really like notebooks with their start up time etc etc..

So like in lecturers I just want to be able to draw and take down notes on the 7500.. so yeah.. but was just thinking about it in terms of money wise :D

Small laptop. I'll be able to do stuff on it where the tablet... I see VC got a special for a OKish laptop for R200 a month.
