Hi Guys,

I would like first hand reviews of the tab a. I've read that the resolution isn't great. I had a look at one in store and while it isn't a retina display it seems ok.

Does anyone use it as a daily tablet and us it good or not? I also seem to find the s pen to be cool but would like to if people actually use it?

Not familiar with the Tab A but after having an S pen I'll never buy a device without one.

Can't live without it.

The new 2016 model (10.1" display) has a much better resolution.

i have one and it's a great tab for the price! works like a dream!

So no issues multi tasking? And does the s pen work as well as it does on the note?

I like the tab s2 but the price is crazy

I'm happy with mine. Used daily for work, reading and some YouTube video watching. Not in the league of a retina display, but does a darn good job. The fact that the pen is included and does not need to be charged is awesome. For the price, you can't do better in my opinion. I only use the pen for OneNote notes and it works well.

Did the device get the Androidn M (6.01) update?

Not yet. Mine is still on 5.0.2.

Cool. Funny thing is I compared the screen to a lenovo tab with a better resolution and the Tab A looked much better which was very surprising...

Also I've read reviews that say the text looks grainy when reading books or articles. Do you find this to be the case?

I moved from an iPad to the tab A and hardly notice a difference to be honest. I don't find anything grainy (Kindle, web etc.), but maybe find out from other users if you have a specific app in mind.

Thanks. The fact that you moved from ipad answers my question

I have the Galaxy Tab S2 and got the Tab A for my daughter the same time.

The screen resolution difference between the two is very noticeable.

None of the above I must admit. Just noticed it when I went through the settings menu.

I saw the PPI is much lower, as well as most reviews mentioning the screen. However, when using the device in store it didn't seem to be as much of an issue. It didn't seem as bad in reality as it does on paper.

The issue is the tab s2 is out of budget and the s-pen seems like something that would be cool to have

I ordered both through Orange and came with German Firmware. The Tab A already has Marshmallow, but it didn't come with a s-pen. Not worried about that. Did you see the s-pen on the demo unit?

My Tab S2 also got Marshmallow before the local providers.

No it seems they remove them from the demo units.

Has the tab A performed better since the update?
