Hey guys, thought i would rather bring this to the myBB, seeing as yiu are probably more clued up than the mtn stores, heres the deal:

My dad can upgrade his contract this month (he is on one of the business packages), but he bought a new phone a few months ago, and cant be bothered getting a new handset again, so he said i can get the device from the updggrade. So i eent to our local mtn store and the guy there said that it is possible to get the galaxy tab on his contract, but not via an upgrade, we will need to wait for the contract to expire, and then we can go ahead and get it? That did not sound right, so off i went to another mtn store, and they said that the galaxy tab is only allowed on data contracts, not normal ones.

So thats why i am here, can someone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks

My advice, don't get it on contract, it works out too much from the RETAiL value.

some calculations in another thread was the tab on contract over the 2 year period went upto to 12k when it only retails for under 8k so factor the data and its exorbitant, rather save up some cash and get it once off.

I get that, but like i stated, its on my dad's contract, and he is not going to take a phone, so either which way, he is going to pay his contract fees, and i dont want to take another phone coz i just got my DHD
