Gama reinstated to Transnet executive

Siyabonga Gama has been reinstated to the executive committee of Transnet following a review of his dismissal for certain breaches of governance, the parastatal said on Wednesday.

He was found guilty in June last year of a serious breach of governance requirements in relation to two procurement contracts.

It seems SA is so short of decent AA execs that we are forced to resort to employing people who think corporate governance and business rules are just minor inconveniences when it comes to decisions around self-enrichment.
Maybe it's just that all gravy train season ticket holders have so much dirt on other fellow passengers, that it's become impossible to fire anyone anymore
