Casualchat 100 - we got the Samsung e250 and R2600 of vouchers. It's a R145 monthly payment. Got ourselves a cot, a digital camera and still have some vouchers left over.

Cool, that gets you 100 offpeak minutes hey? That is a decent phone and a decent deal in that case

Look around and I'm sure that you'll find some decent offers.
Last year I found an awesome deal with Autopage. It was a weekender plus contract at R29 per month. Although the phone was a crappy Nokia 1600, I didn't care because I was getting 120 minutes per month for R29. I usually use this phone once I finish up my minutes on my main contract.
You could use the money that you save monthly from the voucher deal to buy something on terms, and this way you're not compelled to buy from Game, it could be any store.

Thing is, that terms often require a deposit and have crazy interest rates, but I hear what you are saying.
You don't find many offers nowadays that offer reduced subscription contracts.

R29 per month? What about simsure, autosim, CLI, itemised billing and whatnot? Extra I presume?

But those are constants, they apply to any contract, even the voucher offers from Game.

Besides, their main competition Nashua Mobile aren't much better than them The_Unbeliever

Take out another contract and you can buy nappies for 6 months

True, but I was just wondering whether your R29 included all that. I managed to get a MyCall 100 from MTNSP in July 2007 also for R29 but it included all the "hidden costs".
The Cell C/voucher deal I took from Game a year ago had mandatory everything, but it was still an amazing deal if you equated the vouchers into a monthly subscription discount.
We bought nappies by the way.
Works out to getting 6 (maybe 8 months if you're kid isn't that regular
) worth of nappies and pay it off interest free over 2 years
