Still cheaper than the Xbox, and better for Kiddo entry as games is r69 and r99 compared to r500+. The Xbox found its niche position as Ps2 competition. Soon the Xbox will be free if you buy he game.

I agree! I will rather pay double+ and get the PS3 if I am a first time buyer.

I bought a virtually brand new PS2 off a work college for R500 - R1699 is a bit heavy if you ask me!
