Game Release Dates

Is there Generally a set period that S.A Gamers need to wait for title launches?
What i mean is game X is released in the States, is there a set time before it's released in S.A ?
I would think S.A falls under European launches but many games that are available in the Euro aren't here yet ....
 
yes, usually SA abides by EU release dates... yet the Activision fiasco was due to higher price talks and thus delayed all Activision titles for SA.

other games didnt really get delayed, i can say console titles get released almost at the same date as their EU counterparts.
 
Oh hummmmm ......

So little decent titles on the PSP ..... GTA pre-order knocked back again to December 6th. Same goes for Sims 2 on PSP......

Right now my PSP serves as a paper weight. Whilst i occasionally play Shakira's music vid on my PSP ....

Hmmmmm ..... drool....... Shakira .....
 
lol! i do some Virtua Tennis, Lumines and Burnout on it at times when its quiet at work... plus acting as a 500MB memory stick too... :D
 
I haven't tried Virtua Tennis, not a big tennis fan.

Burnout is about the best game i've played so far. I'm at about 40% complete at the mo, some of those smashes to earn gold i just cant figure out.

I see Mega Man is going to be making an appearance on the PSP as well as a new Harvest Moon, next year's PSP hits looks a bit rosier.

Now ssssshhhh ........ i'm trying to watch Shakira over here ;)
 
hehehe... tennis is good fun... and i am not a tennis fan either... just Maresmo keeps making my life miserable by nailing me on the quarter finals every time... :(

You sure sims 2 is even out in america for PSP???
 
Not yet in the States ..... December 6th release here in S.A according to dgitalplanet.co.za & kalahari.net .......
But that date will undoubtabely be pushed back soon.

It's about the only other title i wanna get after GTA: Liberty Stories

Considering GTA: Liberty stories was released in the States in October and in the U.K early november i'm somewhat annoyed
it's only December in S.A .

Cool, it would be quite interesting to have sims on the PSP.
 
There are quite a few titles I'm looking forward to, lead amongst them is Infected, but from what I gather it won't be getting a Euro release until about March. SOCOM also looks awesome, but no sign of an SA release..
Is it just me or are SK reeeeeeally slow getting PSP games out here? :(

Oh, a bit OT, but have any of you that bought Wipeout here downloaded the addon packs? I bought mine in the states, and I can't download the Euro packs.. I'm really keen to see if they work on the US version (I want the puma pack dammit!! ;)). I also wouldn't mind getting my hands on the Jap packs..
I've downloaded all 6 of the US packs so far and it's pretty much doubled the size of the game! The latest Delta tracks are particularly cool!

And today i received an e-mail from Kalahari too confirm that my order for GTA: LIberty Stories has once again been delayed. Ster Kinekor has decided to push the date back to the 13th December.

FFS !!!! .... FFS X 2. 4k u SK.

This game was released in the States in October .....

And on a side note Sims 2 was released in the States today .... i guess this holiday season my PSP Sock wil be bare.

i am not sure if BT Games received stock of those two titles on the 7th of December....

GTA was delayed
My replacement PSP didn't arrive
My interview this evening was rescheduled

*sigh*
 
Big surprise. It seems that useless monopolies are the norm in this country, Telkom.. Ster Kinekor Games..

Lets hope when the Xbox 360 is released here it will have more than one distributor.
