Game Server Hosting Service - ARK TRIAL ACTIVE
What is this post about?
A partner and I are looking to give South African gamers a service to host their own game servers at more competitive prices and a better experience than comparable international companies. South Africans currently have very limited choices for this type of service and we feel we can give a international grade experience locally, at local friendly prices.
How are you planning on doing this?
We will be hosting the servers on locally hosted dedicated servers and use the best control panel with a user-friendly interface. We will make sure you have the sufficient resources for your server to give a smooth and enjoyable experience.
So what games will you be hosting?
In the future we plan on having a large variety of games, but for now we will focus on a few games we feel will be a good start. You can expect the following games when we start the trials:
Ark Survival Evolved
Arma 3 - Mods supported
Counter Strike GO
Garry’s Mod
Left 4 Dead 2
Minecraft
Rust
Team Fortress 2
Unturned
Cool, so why are you posting it here?
We don’t want to be another company with a website with a ticket system. We want to be as transparent as possible. There is a reason why we want to start off on forums - we want your input and your needs to guide us in making this as successful as possible for both parties. We are gamers ourselves and ipso facto part of the community. We would rather have a healthy & interactive relationship with clients from the start instead of just another order number that comes in.
Sounds great. You mentioned trials?
We are looking for a few people to trial our servers first and give us feedback. We will be giving these people VERY good prices for the trial duration. The games that will be in the trials first will be Arma 3 with mods and Ark Survival Evolved. The reason why we chose these two games is that they are quite resource-intensive. We want to stress test each server so we know what to give you and know what to expect. Arma 3 & Ark also have a wide range of mods to choose from which will allow us to test flexibility of the system. We want to streamline them first before we test others.
So what will your prices be per slot?
In short: We will only make our pricing public once we are completely finished with the trials. What we can tell you is that the prices will vary per game but be the most competitive available in SA.
What support will you be offering?
Initially, we will offer support through PMs on this forum, email and through a ticketing system, mostly during office hours, up to 9pm in the evening. The aim is to setup a robust and interactive system that users will find flexible and easy to manage, therein avoiding support queries. While we cannot guarantee support times and responses, we'll be working very closely with the trial users to make sure they get the best experience possible to facilitate growing that experience for other players.
Voice server?
Voice server rental will not be offered in the trial but will be offered at a later stage.

TRIAL STATUS: Ark:SE ACTIVE
Ark:SE prices and info
We will start the Ark:SE trials today, we were hoping to trial Ark:SE and Arma 3 at the same time but unfortunately Arma 3 is not yet 100% ready.
The Ark:SE trials will be 70 slot servers with access to Ark remote.
Prices:
Trial - R500
Price after trial - R600
We will offer further compensation during the trial if there are complications for a unacceptable period.
You are also welcome to PM me for a hour demo run free of charge.

When will you start adding other games to the list?
We will add other games as soon as the current list is streamlined. Steam games are easier to host since steamcmd makes gettting the server files very easy and ipso facto making updates easy. There are a few games that we will just not be able to host. The last 3 Battlefield game's server files were only awarded to a few GSPs, hopefully that will not be the case with BF1.
Will you limit the amount of resources per gs instance.
No, not for the most of them anyway. We will make it very clear what games will have a limit.We will never put more instances on a server than it can handle.
