Game Special: Ext Hdd

Hi guys.

Just wanted to find from you okes about this deal. Game has a Verbatim 1Tb external Hard drive on special with a free 4gb Verbatim flash drive for R999. Is the verbatim hdd any good? Compared to the Western Digital sold at Makro, which one do you guys think is the better to get?

I've had the same Verbatim 1TB as per the special for over a year and still no problems. If you do not have access to buy directly from dealers, then this is not a bad deal.
 
So moggie you bought the same thing last year for the same price?Guess its not such a great special then hey. And the verbatim has a WD hdd? Wow interesting..Thanks guys
 
Got the same drive from makro last year. Mine has a samsung drive inside, which developed some bad sectors. The rubber feet also came off... The price isn't bad but there are better drives out there.

Can you maybe refer to a retailer that sells other hard drive brands? I need something around the R1000 mark. Thanks
