Gamemax a viable option?

Hi There Guys

I have been on Unshaped for over a month now, I must say it is a huge improvement, but I can't help trying to squeeze as much as I can out of my connection. I have tried the trial version of Gamemax and it seems to work well, however I haven't tried anything that puts strain on the connection like 25 man raiding or Wintergrasp. Would appreciate any feedback on whether the connection remains stable and if having an unshaped versus a shaped connection is better with Gamemax.

I would give it a miss. I like having my account and not having to explain to blizzard (after they ban it) that I've been using a service to get the pings lower.

They won't understand us mere mortals here in good ol' SA
 
Got my Gamemax account about 30min ago, gonna do 10man Ulduar Freya with 3 adds up tonight will let you know how it goes.

I am using a 4mb ADSL line, i have two ISP accounts,
Unshaped IS from Nexus and Unshaped SAIX from web africa.
 
Thanks Pure Acid, would love to hear how it went :P I've got webafrica unshaped so I can switch between both saix and verizon backbone. My main worry is that its just gna cut out in 25man, if thats the case, I don't have a use for it in all honesty.
 
Was using my nexus IS unshaped , i was at 275ms for the most of the night sometimes going up to 340ms. So far a thumbs up for 10man and AV :P

Tomorrow i will be doing 25man Ulduar so will test that as well.

I used to use it. It ALWAYS lags out and d/c's when you either go into Wintergrasp or in a 25 main raid.

I used to get around 280ms with Gamemax and Unshaped. But what use is it when you can't raid 25 mans with it?

Indeed this is so true but i would rather see for my self tonight, also for R70 it is more than a worthwhile if i am getting that lag on 10mans , 5mans , battlegrounds (even tested AV) , arenas tbh!!
 
Never had problems with gmmax, half my guild also uses it, i'm on a 4mb ADSL.

Funny how Kuga still complains about dc's and lag on every post even though a while ago you said you canceled your account with gamemax.

I have been having these same issues for few months now. Axxess Unshaped and 626 accounts I use. Just been getting progressively worse and worse. My ms during the day, on unshaped is around 1k, and the 626 account which I use at night sits at 700ms.

I can't even pug VoA anymore during the day, I just get d/c'd the whole time..

I did cancel my service with gamemax. I'm just using normal unshaped accounts and the problems have gotten worse.
 
I've also signed up for a month with Gamemax and will be testing it tonight in Ulduar 25. Will post some feedback here afterwards.

I'd rather try it myself, since there are some folks who's had bad experiences, and some folks who's had great experiences with it. Here's hoping for the latter.

I have an unshaped account with WebAfrica and can switch between SAIX and Verizon. You reckon unshaped Verizon is the way to go (for now at least)?
 
Agreed on the verizon bit although strictly speaking it's not verizon anymore but MTN business.
 
I currently use an unshaped Axxess account, my normal latency is around 250-350, maybe give them a try?
 
I got banned for three days using proxy services, but I was hopping between Your Freedom and Gamemax, so it could have been either.

I'm back on Gamemax now, and when using a WA unshaped account it is smooth as butter. Using it with AXXESS uncapped fibre though, now theres a bumpy ride >.<
