I wanted to ask if any1 is using the gamemax.org proxy feature to reduce wow latency on EU servers- and if so what type of latency u are getting?
I used to be a beta tester for them and i remeber getting about 340ms...
Half a year later and after the introduction of a monthly suscription i once more tried their trial account before deciding to get my own.
The result is that im getting 560ms on my Telkom Saix line as opposed to 800 ms just straight connecting and this worries me because i remember the was some story of rerouting connections to Europe via (Hong Kong????)- which had a detramental effect on ping. Has this issue been resolved?
Once again i ask if any 1 uses this feature and ur opinion of it

pamela gives me 180 - 250ms using is semi shaped.

Necuno, is that the Axxess semi shaped account?
 
It's nice got 280ms-350ms on axxess unshaped. BUT just as nice as it is half the time in raids or WG as soon as there's a lot of players and or npc's it climbs to round 500ms and the lag gets so bad you keep on DC'in 1min after every pull

Going to try this out...I have a normal unshaped account at the moment and get 500ms o_O
 
So last night I was playing WoW on 500ms more or less on my unshaped ADSL account.

Decided, it's time to try out Gamemax and see if it really works (I thought prolly not, it has to be the server at fault).

Got me and account and voila...210ms maximum latencies :eek:

Well done Gamemax! :cool: :D

Remove your WoW latency registry hax.
 
i was using gamemax while in beta, i just wanted to know has anyone else expierenced the issue when u playing suddenly you cant do anything you can chat, but you cant cast spells?
 
perhaps it was an issue with the software i was using to tunnel my wow connection..
 
I reckon I'll give this a go this afternoon and see if it improves my latency.
