Games on Mac

You need the Apple version, go to zastore or something like that

Of course they will "run", but most Apples are not cut out to perform well with games. They seem to put low spec video cards in them to save money.

I loaded Quake 3 Arena on my Mini (1.3GHz PPC) last night - I was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness!

Quake 3 is almost RETRO.

Quake 4 would be a better test. The problem with the Mini is that graphics memory is shared with system memory. The graphics card in that machine is very swak.

Any Intel based Imac/Macbook Pro should be fine. A Macbook however will suck hard with Prey. Where did you get those games for?

It's still huge fun!

It's not. Not on the PPC. It's a Radeon 9200 (RV280) with 32MB dedicated video ram. For what it's worth, I had the same card (although with 128MB) in my 1.5GHz AthlonXP and it ran Quake4 just fine.
