I would like to personally declare a personal war on GameZone and anything that may in any way form part of GameZone, that includes M-Web as far as I know.
Here is this little story that seriously upsets me regards gaming in this country. I havnt played Counter Strike Source in a good 4 months. I load Steam, install Counter Strike Source do the usual stuff and logon to the server.
GameZone was the server I chose, not because of who runs it but by the game currently active on the server with decent amount of players.
Anyways, the admin sent a message, while I was the only other person alive on my team trying to make sure I dont die.. so I didnt see it... then he sent it again, while responding he goes on mic saying if I dont respond he will kick me...
fine fair enough. The problem was my rates in the game. Steam default is apparently not what GameZone wants. No problem there.. so i respond saying I got 4Mbit DSL in chat... and he is like "so why is your rates.. blah, breaks up and cant understand.. bye bye"
The point, if he is admin of that server, and remotely interested in building a healthy community for South Africa he would rather assist and say these are the rates.. let alone that... if they are a little more friendly (SGS for a session like this about a year ago) on how to actually adjust the settings we would be much further.
Some people dont actually know what those settings are... I for one cant even rememebr what they are or the commands to change them.
GameZone has officially got itself a true enemy... um, just wondering on that M-Web thing.. cause if they are part of M-Web then I can see why they so ****.
