My question is; why are our pings so terrible when it comes to international sites/servers?
I can browse google.com, but what happens when I try to ping it...
----------------------------------------------------------------
Pinging google.com [216.239.51.100] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 216.239.51.100:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
----------------------------------------------------------------
Would changing the MTU help this? Would smaller packets help reduce the ping times? I've tried, but doesn't seem to help much. Has anyone had any success in achieving low international pings?
