My question is; why are our pings so terrible when it comes to international sites/servers?

I can browse google.com, but what happens when I try to ping it...

Pinging google.com [216.239.51.100] with 32 bytes of data:

Ping statistics for 216.239.51.100:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

Would changing the MTU help this? Would smaller packets help reduce the ping times? I've tried, but doesn't seem to help much. Has anyone had any success in achieving low international pings?

Weird I can ping them fine. Might be the router of firewall blocking the ping attempts?

Odd, I've reinstalled to start with a fresh installation, so no firewall up at the moment and I'm dialing out through through the router.

M-Web perhaps?

I wonder if there is a way to achieve better pings.

Better than before, but still not what I expect from 'Super Fast Internet'.
