gaming case?

Or the Coolermaster 690. Still waiting to get mine. I bought the Raidmax Smilodon and the place I bought it from said I could trade it back for the CM 690, but they waiting to get stock :(.

So the Raidmax lost in the end :erm:, was thinking of getting the CM690 initially but then thought about what others said about the Scout and that's the case for LANs.

yeah, i'd suggest save an extra 200 bucks and do it right.

I spent 900 but I KNOW I don't need to replace the Chassis anytime soon....

you wouldn't want to spend R400 today and when you buy your 4th drive realise you need to buy a R600 case again...

+1
I paid a little under R600 for my Aerocool and it was worth it

It's a really good looking case. ;)

But man is is hard to build into. I guess an mATX board would be a tad easier. But aikona for ATX boards + decent (big) graphics cards! GTX295 has to be inserted at a strange angle to get close to the PCI-E slot, and once installed has about 0.3mm to the 5.25/3.5" bays.

CM690 still gets my vote.

*EDIT*

There is no cable management behind the backplate with the Scout! :sick:

Ooooh... me likey the Scout. Washable air filters, the whole interior is black, cable management.

I think I'll get this instead of the 690 ;)

But then the Postman goes and does that lol. Now what do I do

CM690. Still looks great, cheaper and the most practical.

See above post edit - very important!

Ok. Sorry I'm worse than a woman when it comes to cases lol. I just wish I could get hold of the 690-Pure. Otherwise I am gonna have to spray the inside of the 690 black when I get mine eventually.

Yea I would wanna get someone to do it properly.. I painted my Thermaltake Tsunami and fudged it up, that's why I'm looking for a new case.

I bought the Raidmax Smilodon, but am not happy with it, waiting for the place where I bought it from to get me the CM 690, just gotta pay in the difference.

@PostmanPot
If there is a will, there is a way. But hey the black scheme of things, a handle, secure holding for your USB devices, made with gamers in mind and for LANs are a win. I for one don't want be the guy bolting a handle on a CM690, whilst trying to push on every other piece of Scout like feature any time soon lol.

@kuga
If you really want a "case", then go for the HAF 922 Mid-Tower, HAF 932 Full-Tower.

Have a look a the cooler master ammo.

I for one would rather get shot at with ammo than carry that case around. Not my type IMO.

The Scout doesn't allow for cable management behind the backplate no matter how much will one has. :D CPU 4-pin power has to go over the graphics card to get to the mobo connector (in my case it was directly under the Scout's top fan making it very difficult to unplug and replug). I was only able to neaten HDD cabling and DVD/RW cabling. There isn't even a hole in the backplate for graphics card cable neatening.

I must agree though I love the black, handle and exterior design. I wish they designed the inside with as much care. ;)

Wow those are beautiful cases.. Just outta my budget though :(. But none the less, I have ordered the 690 and should get it end of this week.

Looks quite neat...

That mobo's CPU connector is on the left. On the P6T Deluxe (which I built onto) it's on the top. Directly below the Scout's top 130mm fan.

That's next to the backplate, not behind.
