Ive been looking for a new keyboard, i use the microsoft wireless 7000 for the lounge media pc and like the flat low profile keys, are there any gaming keyboards/usb with similar keys, i was looking at these online...

Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard
ROCCAT ARVO COMPACT GAMING KEYBOARD
Razer Lycosa Mirror Special Edition
Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard
 
well lets see I had the Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard that didnt work i broke it in half . and DO NOT BUY THE Razer Lycosa Mirror Special Edition ...... ITS THE worst keyboard I ever baoght <--------- No really it is If you want to buy a RAZOR thig buy the Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Laser Mouse (the best mouse I have ever had ok its a bit pricey but f***n cool )
and well Now I have a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard ... one of the best ones I have ever had . I recomend the x6
(I have not used the ROCCAT ARVO COMPACT GAMING KEYBOARD ) and I chose the X6 above the g110 because of price ... x6 just has a better price forwhat you get ... oh and yes WHY do YOU want a keyboard that changes colours ????? who knows ...

Thanks for the advice, i like the look of the sidewinder looks like it covered all bases, but what are the keys like are they thin and high profile or wide and low?, quite important for large hands

I have the X6 and love it.

Keys are wide and low and mine has taken a few klaps already and its going strong. The red backlight is seriously cool, escpecially since you can adjust the i.ntensity

because it is the most crap key board ever when it still worked or lets say when it was suposed to work IT DIDINT. . just a crap keyboard and NOW i remem my rulle NEVER buy a razor or Logitech keyboard EVER IMHO . . . dont have any thing against them its just they break for someone who is verry hard on their keyboards . hahaha

jup agree 100 % and dont forget you can remove the keypad if you would ever want to do such a strange thing ...

Will most prob get the x6..

Any one have any recommendations on a mouse??
Mostly for gaming. Wireless or wired i dont mind..
Been looking at the cm storm sentinel, x5 and x8 sidewinders but the x8 is a little pricey IMO.
My last mouse was/is a logitech mx1000

EDIT: Is there a big difference between 500MHz and 1000MHz polling?? As it will it be noticeable when playing FPS etc?

well I am not a pro on mouses but I have the Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Mouse and well it can go up to 5600 DPI and REALLY (I have on the fly sensitivity switches ) and well I never use a DPI more then 1600 at a max

IMO you would not need a 5600DPI mouse if you get somthig with like 3200 it would be cheeper and well yea..
what about a ROCCAT-Kova/
and a LOCAL link for you cliks here



and well with mouses if different then keyboard because it could have the most Features in the world but you don't like it what fun is that ... so when choosing a mouse go with what you want not with something someone posted in a forum .

125 Hz 8 ms

Coolermaster SENTINEL looks good and nice but yes I would not buy it (DOnt like it personally .) and when I think Coolermaster I think a PC cases, fans , coolers and not gaming mouse LOL

The Kova looks awesome, but not familiar with the brand.. See they quite popular in other countries.. will add it to my list of potentials :)
 
I have the Microsoft X3 mouse - I love the shape and aesthetics but I am on my 3rd one as they do not take punishment very well.

I decided to go with the x6 keyboard and the x8 mouse.. I like the wireless/wired functionality of it.. And it just looks mean.. Plus i had a R100 discount from prophecy so ya it's done..
 
im tied between the storm mouse and that sidewinder, im just not sure about the confort level of the two silver buttons on the side of the winder, but i like the shape of the lft/rht click buttons, the fact that you can upload a 32x32 clan logo onto the coolermaster mouse is a bit gimmicky as your hand will cover it when in use.
damn the X8 looks sweet

If you haven't bought yet..

I'd go for the Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard

My G18 has taken much abuse, and it's working like a dream, and the G110 is basically the same thing minus the LCD

+100 from me on Logitech's build quality, my old G15 is still going strong
 
Ive got the microsoft sidewinder x 6 and the coolermaster sentinel CM mouse
Best kb and mouse.. highly recommended

another great keyboard is the Roccat Valo (not in the country at the moment)
