I'm trying to decide which gaming keyboard to get, it's between these two: Zalman ZM-K400G and Genius KB-265. If anyone who has experience with these keyboards could please shed some light on them or maybe recommend something else that is below R300, it would be much appreciated. It will mostly be used in FPS games.

I have the Zalman ZM-K400G. It's an alright keyboard. The backlit lights are not bright at all, for the red or blue, and I sometimes find it hard to spot certain keys while pecking. That's the only downside I have of the keyboard. Oh, and there is no sleep or power buttons (not a biggie). Furthermore it's just a normal keyboard for me, that looks cool. If you want a thoroughbred gaming keyboard, you are looking at R600+.

Thank you for your input. I guess I will have to settle for this then since there's not too many downsides. Does it have anti-ghosting?

Nope, don't think it has.

Here is a review:

This guy claims the backlit was bright, maybe it is, but I don't find it bright at all. If it is too bright, there is a control to dim it down.

Did you take a look at the Genius Imperator? It has anti-ghosting, and seems solid for a budget keyboard.

BTW, I got myself the Zalman ZM-GM1 mouse with the keyboard, and they compliment each other quite well. The mouse has extra weights and various DPI levels to use. What I like most about the mouse is the fact that you can adjust it's pulsating rate for the blue lights inside the mouse, with the program provided, looks awesome!

The Genius Imperator seems like a good keyboard, I will consider it. Yes that mouse does look awesome and is really great for the price, but I've already decided on getting the Logitech G400.
