Found out that I'll be travelling for extended periods of time in the next couple years (in SA). I still want to game and I won't be able to haul my massive PC everywhere. So I think getting a good gaming laptop which I can carry on flights would be useful. Willing to spend a decent sum, lets say R50k. Are there any recommended brands/shops to use?

Eg. Something like this seems ok. But with 1GB SSD instead and 32GB RAM.

Edit2: Or these:

I want to be able to max out games like Dragons Dogma 2. Want something that will still be ok for say 5 years.

Edit3: Getting a GTX4070 laptop seems to be the sweet spot. But there are so many brands/models. Also is AMD better than Intel right now?

Thanks guys. After a bit of research I ended up getting the MSI GP77 Vector since it was a decent price:

MSI Vector GP77 13VG 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H up to 5.00GHz Processor, 24MB Cache, 14x Cores, 20x Threads / 32GB DDR5 RAM / 1TB Ultra-Fast NVMe SSD / 17.3" QHD (2560 x 1440) Anti-Glare 240Hz Refresh-rate With IPS-Level Display / NVIDIA 40 Series GeForce RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 Graphics

I used to swear by MSI lappies.

Then I discovered the Wootbooks and never looked back. The build quality and airflow is excellent.

Yeah the other option was the Wootbook. However once I added the RAM, SSD and Windows 11, the price difference was only about R2k. In the end the screen size made the difference. 17.3" for the MSI but 16" for the Wootbook.

In the end the build quality on the MSI will get you.. many complaints about MSI build quality..

I'll reply here if it breaks or something happens. Lets see what happens in the next 5 years. So far it's amazing. Everything running smoothly and the screen quality is great.
