Gaming mouse for dev / work?

Been thinking about this for a while to get another G502 for example since its a lot better than that stock standard mouse-x at work. I mean this specific mouse has a free scroll mode where you scroll as much at any speed without that click-click-click, its just so smooth :D
 
That's one thing I miss about Logitech when I went Razer.... the ability to [hyper] scroll through 2000 lines of code with one flick of my finger.

I recently got a G602 for work (was on Takealot daily deal). It's a little overkill since I don't use all the gaming features, but it's definitely worth having a proper mouse, and the extra buttons are also useful. The Logitech M-range is also not significantly cheaper these days.

I had hyperscroll on my previous mouse, but I don't really miss it with the G602.

so for work would you say the g602 or the performance mx? what's more comfortable.
