Now I love gaming online especially sniping. Now I consider myself a decent sniper as people accuse of hacks even though i just practice sniping a lot. No i don't use hacks but of course you can't convince someone over the internet.

Anyway I want to find out if a so called "gaming mouse" improves sniping + general game play? I can understand it is smoother and more ergonomically designed but is there more to a gaming mouse? Does it make you sniping/gameplay more consistent? I use a normal laser mouse with nothing special about it besides have a mouse 4 and 5 which cost R50.

Many people are disgusted with me getting so many headshots with a normal mouse. I haven't ever used a G5 or a excellent razer mouse but should I move into that realm?

Bear in mind I don't want to switch to "high performance gaming" mouse because to snipe properly one needs to be use to their mouse.

Depends how crappy your current mouse is to be honest. Since you already have a generic laser mouse, i doubt you'll see a big difference. You can adjust the sensitivity on the fly with the G5, which might be of value to you.

See if you can borrow one from a friend to try out for a few days first before you spend the cash.

Gaming mice are far better than normal stock standard mice.

Razer and logitech have mind blowing mice, Yes they are much better than cheap mice. If your into gaming and game alot you should have a gaming mouse.

What Killadoob said - You can't compare a R50 with a decent gaming mouse especially when it is used for gaming.

Maybe for everyday use you wouldn’t notice any difference, but especially with FPS you will notice a huge difference.

I used a cheap MS mouse for years and upgraded to the G5, huge improvement in my gaming!
