Yes, I did use search and found some threads, but new mice might have come out and was wondering what gaming mouse you would recommend?

Well why don't you list the options you found hmmm? or go and do some research and see what new items have been released and read the reviews like everyone else....

Your google-fu is lacking...

Get an automatic - changing mouse gearing is more dangerous than car gearing.

Depends on your budget as well.
[Edit:] I have the Microsoft/Razer Habu, but I have not been gaming much since I got it like over a year ago. I do however love the way it glides on my Razer eXactMat when I do play games or move icons around on my desktop :p

I saw that in the shop it looked cool and was really cheap!

Basically what I meant to say was that I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Habu and eXactMat as I have no complaints, but u're gonna have to do your own research on how the various mice compare. I would think that most people will only have experience with a couple of gaming mice at best, unless they regularly do hardware reviews :) So trawl the net, come up with some that you think sound good, and then ask people their opinions on those specific mice :)

And I keep mentioning the eXactMat because a good mouse is nothing without a good mouse pad!!!

I am using the logitech g9 at the moment, saved a bit for it, and it was worth it all.

I am currently using a Razer Copperhead, and before that a Logitech MX1000, and a MX510 prior to that.

One of the things that swayed me from Logitech were the size of the drivers, 5mb versus 50mb!

lol same setup as me :p

While it's a very nice mouse and all there are 1 or 2 things i don't like about it.
The laser reads to high of the surface so I have to lift the mouse higher up when i move it back to the middle of pad while playing FPS.

And for some reason it disconnects & reconnects randomly every now and then. From what I've read on the net, this has happened to a lot of people. Think it has something to do with the cord (where it connects to the mouse) but i'm not sure.

other than that a really nice mouse. Nice feel and movement.

Logitech G9!!!!!, anything else is not a gaming mouse!!!!!

Razer Death adder and exactmat *shiver*
I luffs my setup.
The G5 Logitechs are also awesome.

i didnt enjoy the exact matt at all

hard to keep clean and surface feels horrible

went back to my mantis speed

Logitech G9 gets my vote. Might be a bit expensive for a mouse but its the best mouse I have ever owned or used.

I manage to keep my eXactMat close to spotless, but then again i cover it religiously when it's not in use and am always blowing specks of dust off it or wiping specks of dust off. Have taken to using it at work now, cause it makes my bluetooth Microsoft 5000 notebook mouse feel all that much smoother , and I'm still managing to keep it very clean :) People seem to think it's some sort of landing pad for anything that they want to give to me, so I have to be really vigilant to stop that or when I'm too late I have to control myself so that I don't shout blue murder :p

Using the Control side mostly. If I start getting into FPS games again then maybe will use the Speed side for those.

It's a mouse pad, not a place mat ;)

I hardly ever clean my exactmat, at most I might dust it off occasionally, and its still pretty much the same as when I got it. (2+ years ago)
