Gaming/Multimedia pc

Hi guys,

I want to build a gaming and multimedia pc. Budget is about R6k.
Very confused as to which graphic card and mobo combination to buy.

Realise I wont be able to get the best out there, but want something that can play most games on high res.
Any suggestions?

Just got a good deal, R1800 for a 3month old XFX nVidia Geforce 8800GT Zalman edition. Should I go for this instead of the ATI?

No I haven't Mephisto helix. Been looking at prices online and the cheapest I can find is R2500.

tis all about the fanboi-ism ....... as a Nvidia fanboi, I'll point out the heat problems the 4850's are having .... as I'm sure the ATI fanbois will respond with something in it's favour
