Hi, i currently use kubuntu/windows xp sp 2. I game once in a while this is my only reason for keeping xp partition, I cant seem to get wine to do what I want under kubuntu, anyone have any similar software?

Also I heard the since osX is now a full unix system that with the win libraries you can run games and other windows apps seamlessly. Does this make sense... OsX is pretty and I would much rather switch to it than vista if i could use it as a stable unix system with windows capabilities.

I think the only option is the one you are using. *nix and games aren't great together and even using something like VM will not help. Depending on what games you play, you may be able to get them running in a VM.

The best software you can get I recon for kubuntu.. is Cedega, but its going to cost you $5 (which in a way, is worth it)... but its still proprietary.. but hey, so if your game. It does have its own issues though.

I installed battlefield 2 onto it, and while the game runs okay... I cant play on ranked servers with it.. punk buster doesn't like it. Apparently WoW and guildwars run fine on it, and I have also tested it with NFS Carbon.

Its about your best option in the Linux world. Oh, you also get some games native for linux, like Wolfentstein, Quake 4, Unreal tournament and such. Native is always better.
