Evening and thank you for reading.

Any one gaming on rain 5g. What is your experience with it especially gaming on itnernational servers.

Utterly depends on the tower/location, you need to try it out first. If possible, pick fiber/DSL instead since latency will be more stable, but 5G should be fine, issue is if tower is congested.

I play warzone, some days its stable at 40-50ms and other days it spikes like crazy

Why would 5G be worse than 4G though? I've never had ping issues on 4G and been using it for a few years now. Local is always 30-45 and playing on Brazil is great as they use a very short route so I get 160ms on there and around 240ms to North America. UK is the usual 160-180ms and Russia ~230ms. Haven't tested with 5G for more than 2 minutes but the latency was exactly the same which was a bit disappointing.

5g isn't as bad as people make it out to be, I had decent ping for mobas but fps was horrible you can feel the latancy difference between a good stable fibre and rains 5g. Ping is also slightly better for games in EU on fibre

I had RAIN Premium 5G, now on fiber.
And there is a Massive difference .....
Judge for yourself.

Yes I also had Rain 5g premium.
Yes sometimes everything is good, but the ping and upload jumps around massively from good to bad to absolutely horrendous. Even the download speeds can be great at 300mbs the 5min later you sit with 2mbs

I suppose Fibre trumps all as fibre is a stable and fixed connection unlike 5G which is still mobile and will fluctuate when the wind blows a little harder than usual

I've had 5G Basic for nearly 2 weeks now. For me the latency is identical to what I had on 4G. The highest I've ever seen is 50ms and that is for a split second. Avg is like 40ms which is what I've had on MTN as well. And as for my international latency refer to my previous comment. Absolutely no difference. Last night I played with a buddy on a EU server and I had 10-15ms lower than him and he is on 200mbit Fibre. So I think the notion that Fibre also gives better international ping as a blanket statement is just false (it is however a more consistent number because wired). Too many variables at play. Some people just have bad connections to the 5G towers or the towers are simply congested.

Fibre will always have better latency locally because it's wired. No argument there. Even on ADSL 1Mbit I had 12ms in DOTA2's Cape Town servers back in the day.
