Gaming on Windows 7 errors

Hi there

When I try run a few of my games like Street Fighter 4 and Unreal Tournament 3, I get Direct-X errors. It's odd because Windows 7 comes with Direct-X 11 built in, yet Windows is whinning about DX9 and 10 missing files.

Does anyone know why or how to fix it?

Hey man,

Try to install the directx that comes with SF4 ( there should be one ). Most of them are just little updates and service packs for DX that allow the new games to run.

They should work fine.

Thanks, but that didn't work. Instead I just copied all the d3dx_xx.dll files from my old XP install over to my W7 install.

Yeah, it's funny that 7 needs DirectX 9 even though it already includes DirectX 10, and I think 11.
