Hello ,

I am looking for a decent gaming PC , It must be able to play BF3 and BF4 when it comes out , also it must have at least a 24 LED. Any suggestions ? My budget it about 8-10K

Its a bad time to buy as the rand is VERY weak so everything is a couple hundred bucks more than usual.

Intel Core i5 4670 @ R2600 (wootware)
MSI Z87 G43 @ R1800 (landmark)
8GB (4GB x2) G.Skill Ares 2133 RAM @ R850 (wootware)
Corsair GS600 PSU @ R940 (landmark)
Sandisk 128GB SSD @ R1100 (takealot)
Powercolour 7850 GPU @ R2260 (wootware)

Thats R9950 excluding case, monitor, mass storage, optical, OS, kb and mouse...

You could shave about R800 off and get the previous generation Intel i5 3570 CPU as its only about 10% slower than the newer 4670. Besides that you don't have too much else that you can skimp on.

CP-iH4670K 2399
HD-CN120FGT 1399
ME-K4T16B9x2 765
MB-AZ87G 2399

R7936.68 incl. vat.

excluding case, optical drive, gfx card, PSU and monitor.

crap , thats a lot , was hoping for a full house at 10K ie with monitor etc. Dont seem possible. Thanks guys

+1 to NomNom's build!
I'd go with a (cheaper) H77 chipset motherboard, because you're not going for a k-model CPU.
Also, you can get a cheaper slightly PSU, because 600W is complete overkill for a single mid-range graphics card. That whole system's whole power consumption will be below 300W peak, and perhaps sit at about 200W avg.

If you're going to spend R2k on a monitor, you may as well just go for an IPS panel that has better colour accuracy! eg. LG IPS234V 23" LCD IPS monitor @ R1,935.

Secondly, I'd go with that build but from Wootware and not from Rebeltech, because lately Rebeltech's rep has gone down the drain...
You may be able to find a 23 - 24" LCD monitor cheaper at one of the large retailers such as HiFi Corp/Dion Wired/Incredible Connection/Makro if they have a special.
