Hi guys, i'm just an average gamer with an average computer.
Current rig:
Gygabyte GA-M61SM2-S2
Athlon 64 X2 4200+
1G platinum geil ddr2 800 o/c
Jetway 8600gts

Now the problem with the mobo is that is has a pci-ex X8 bus in a pci-ex X16 slot (I didn't know that when i purchased it).

My cousin wants to give me a Biostar N4SIE-A7 SLI. (max ddr2 667)
It has a P4 in it (don't know the frequency).
I was thinking of adding another 1 gig, changing to a dual core and purchasing a 2nd 8600 gts for the SLI

(but i can only do this in 6 months MINIMUM!!!)

Is it a wise choice or should i just stick to my current ring and maybe add another 1 gig ,and WHY?

Other advise will also be helpfull.

And also, what do you think of the rig before the upgrade?

Your help will rely be appreciated.
Thanks.

Stay with current rig and just add 1gig ram.

Biostar N4SIE-A7 SLI

Ahhh! My Eyes are burnin' !!

please stay away from that mobo!

I also have a Gigabyte Mobo with16X PciEx that only runs up to 8X..... and I currently have that in my PC instead of the BioStar SLI mobo.

I'll be posting a thread about my next rig soon - so look out for it guys.:o
