Garage shelves and hooks

After moving the stuff in the house to the garage for 8 years, it is time to 'sort out the garage'. So, I'm looking into putting up shelves and hooks to cater for all the 'stuff'. I do a clean-out every year, but the stuff we have in the garage is now things we do use once in a while.

Therefore, I'm looking for shelving against the wall furthest from the garage doors for all the plastic containers, garden stuff and hardware stuff. . I also need to move my workbench to the middle as well. Additional to this, I want to add shelving to the side walls, above the vehicles as to utilise more space.

I need shelving that can handle stuff that way a bit. Most of the 'off-the-shelf Makro' shelving is flimsy or isn't designed to handle lots of heavy things.

Any suggestions on where I can find good shelving? Gauteng area?

I use normal doors for my shelving. They go for max R150 each, cheaper if they are shop soiled. I also got some large bins from discount stores.

I used Elfa's shelving system & am very happy with the amount of stuff that I am able to store.

And the 'ventilated' design of the shelves means no dust traps ...

Depends on how good you can mount those hangs to your wall. I've also got a set of those that I used for 5 years at our previous place and it never failed.

Only reason why I use doors is cost but the Elfa system is much neater.

Double brick wall. That means I should be able to get nice long screws in. I'll be measure and plan this weekend.

I had these in a crappy thick plastered old wall and they took over 100kg with ease.
