The Mall opened on 27 Oct 2005 with 130 shops and guess what the local Transmission Telkom dudes forgot to plan for a DSLAM ouch !!
http://www.gardenroutemall.co.za

Telkom is very unpopular down here in the town of George as quite
a few ADSL applications were filled in , thats when the paw-paw hit the fan, oh dear no DSLAM in the 044 887xxxx exchange.
Local contractors have finnished installing a DSLAM in the Vicbay DLU exchange
mounted in a cabinet right next to the N2 road just at the Vicbay road, suprised
no truck has hit it.

Thats where the Nigerians were caught tapping into the exchange and they parked
their car 100m down the road from the DLU with a long cable, pushing pensioners calls
from a few hundred rands to 10 thousand rand.

What?! You mean to tell me they didn't cater for Ou Krokodil's ADSL needs?! Man, they're going to meet their Rubicon, that's for sure! Kekekekeke...

Why don't they call David Jarvis from Uninet? I'm sure he would be glad to hook them up wirelessly.

Local WISP (with VANS) has jumped onto the bandwagon and is going to make a killing.
Rumours reckon the DSLAM should be up by Jan, as users are connecting via dialup

Well Telkom have finally installed the DSLAM at the Kraaibosch Siemens DLU exchange (887 xxxx) located at the mall, and now ADSL is available for the 120 shop owners. alot of them went for ISDN as an interim, now they will have to switch those phones back to POTS for ADSL to work as they do not support ADSL over ISDN lines.

At least 40 shop owners looking for ADSL accounts $$
