Can anyone tell me how to make a nice Garlic Bread?
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
There is a food forum btw...
It is incredibly simple:
Mix softened butter (not melted) with garlic, salt and parsley. I don't use pepper as it detracts from the flavour imo.
Slice a very fresh french loaf, and slather on the butter in generous portions in all slices, ensuring it sticks to the sides and isn't a big gloopy lump in between each. Wrap in tin-foil, shiny-side in, bake for 15 minutes at 180.
Voila - garlic bread like you know it from the restaurants...

Peacock dreams...Parsley is a nice addition as well.
Add chopped up fresh chillies for an even better experience.
