Garlic Bread

There is a food forum btw...;)

It is incredibly simple:

Mix softened butter (not melted) with garlic, salt and parsley. I don't use pepper as it detracts from the flavour imo.

Slice a very fresh french loaf, and slather on the butter in generous portions in all slices, ensuring it sticks to the sides and isn't a big gloopy lump in between each. Wrap in tin-foil, shiny-side in, bake for 15 minutes at 180.

Voila - garlic bread like you know it from the restaurants...

Pretty much how I do it. If you want to add cheese, only do it after the bread is cooked.

Take the foil off, add the cheese and put it back in the oven. Turn the heat down to 50 and it should be ready in 2 minutes.

Parsley is a nice addition as well.
Peacock dreams...

I didn't pay attention, thanks for pointing it out though.
May day feels more complete now.

Mine too.

OnT: No garlic bread you buy in a shop can match what you can make at home. I love garlic loaves (Baked bread with garlic, parsley, olives and blue cheese) and regular braai garlic bread. Thanks for the pepper tip, I always add a bit of black pepper, will try it without tonight. Feel sorry for my car pool buddy tomorrow :D
