Are you being sarcastic or do you think I am?

No, no I think you are - or rather after reading your response I thought you were... obviously you're not - I must try out your method, I'll kick myself it it works, the damn sink has been there all along, hiding in plain sight!

Honestly the web needs a sarcasm font or something...

Will this help convince you of my sincerity? Its steel and about the size of a small bar of soap

One of the inlaws gave it to me for xmas - I didnt have the heart to mention the sink though

Back on topic - you could probably use a garlic press too . . . if it was steel :D

Even easier - as long as it is steel you can rub your hands along the inside of the kitchen sink. :)

...back off topic: It certainly does work! :)

After this thread I was 'forced' to make a garlic heavy recipe for Spag Bolog - after crushing and dicing the garlic and onions, ran the taps and then my hands along the sink underneath the stream of water and it worked a charm!

They have a similar product to the one in bwanas pic available at Woolworths.

Researching this on the internet will only confuse you - it seems the web is divided 50/50 between skeptics and believers along with the usual smattering of frustrated scientists trying to prove their theory with endless quotes and links to others doing the same.

To update: I finally bought one at Woolworths for R 110. It's just easier than ordering from yuppiechef and waiting for delivery.

One... one what? Garlic press; stainless steel soap; stainless steel sink or sarcasm font?

Also: It could not have been easier to drive in; park; find item; stand in queue; pay; go out; pay parking/attendant and drive home... you simply find it easier to manage your task list than your patience. ;)
