GARMIN MOBILE XT-SAMSUNG OMNIA ERRORS

I do apologise in advance if this has been asked before, I have done a search on google and this forum....but nothing has helped.

I wonder if one fo you cleaver people could help me.

Ok so here it goes...I have been using my garmin so far with no problems. I wanted to activate it the other day and it gave me the following error.

Datatype misalighnment of program 0x0032e300 in backround thread NULL (Main InitInstance)

Any way I googled the error and followed the following instructions

Delete every MMS/SMS message on your system... inbox.. outbox... deleted items... everything.

-Remove any previous installs of Garmin Mobile XT from the 'Remove Programs' tool located in settings.

-Even after removing the app, it often leaves folders hanging around, so rename any previous installs of garmin on your phone (e.g. rename folder \Garmin to \Garmin_old)

-Pull out your SD card from your phone and insert into computer.

-Rename any previous installs of garmin on your SD card (e.g. rename SD\Garmin to SD\Garmin_old)

-Download the newest version of Garmin Mobile XT (version 42050w at the moment) I think I have the latest version so did not use this method, Just used the garmin cd i received to reinstallto your computer.

-Install the new version *directly to your SD card*.

-Soft Reset Phone

-Insert SD card into phone and garmin should pop-up asking if you want to install it, choose yes and complete install.

-Done! If you run Mobile XT now it should actually launch.


If I start my Omnia I cant even see the Icon in my program folder.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try this;
1) Remove SD Card.
2) Format SD Card in Card Reader.
3) Using SD Card in Card Reader re-install Garmin Mobile XT program CD.
4) Send Email to Garmin Support "[email protected]" and include the following details;
(a) Your Omnia IMEI number,
(b) Your Garmin XT "Token" number,
(c) Your Cell Number,
(d) Reason for your "Garmin XT RESET" request.
5) After "RESET" then restart your GPS by inserting the "Token" number as per Owners Manual.

This works for me.
