Garmin Nuvi 205 help

I lost my Micro SD card of Garmin Nuvi 205.
So i bought another micro sd card and asked my friend to copy his map on my card. I thought it going to work like this. I was excited and happy that my Garmin gonna work again but when i put new card in my Garmin its say can't unlock maps.
Any help in this matter would be really appreciated.
Please advise me.

Is the SD card a Garmin card, or can you use any one?
They talk about these things on Garmap forum.
