Garmin Nuvifone passes FCC, then keeps straight
Nuvifone, the first mobile phone by Garmin, is cruising past FCC and might as well keep the announcement to release gap down to a year. The full-touch operated handset named after Garmin's very own Nuvi navigation system made headlines way back in January.
Not quite the first phone from Garmin. They had two other models. The first was an analogue phone made only available in the USA, then they made a second GSM cellphone with GPS built-in which was sold world-wide a few years ago. I know, I got one, bought from Cape Union Mart about 5 years ago. Not a great phone - mostly because of poor UI, and non-colour screen -made it difficult to see in some lighting conditions. Hopefully the new one will be vastly more advanced.
