Gas Hob Advice

Hi Guys,

I am looking to install a gas hob in the kitchen with all the power cuts and load shedding.

Just a normal 600mm hob. Nothing fancy, I am keeping the electric oven in place.

Any ideas on brands and features?

TIA

Looking at this one:
That's a great price, Bosch is a strong brand. There is very little that can go wrong with a hob, not so much an oven / cooker hood, I have a gas powered Fuchs, and the hob is OK, but I regret the hood every single day, and the electric oven is also iffy.

A feature I can recommend is auto gas shut off. If the gas is going and the flame dies for whatever reason, or if your kid turns one of the plates on, then it closes automatically if no flame is detected.

That one he posted does have it
Flame Failure Safety DeviceYes

That reminds me, our fire extinguishers in our complex are also out of date
I need to get my tjommie in to 'service' them again

Also a loophole for Insurance companies to not payout. Bunch of *****

Revive and hijacking thread. Lol.

Looking to install a gas hob too. Load shedding getting too much now.

Found this one:

Does anyone know if it's a decent one. Or have any recommendations?

Thanks so much.

If i bought again I would not get one with those big ass iron grates that cover the burners. They get dirty and oily easily and are a mission to clean because of their size. Try get a hob with single covers. Like this:

Yup. There it is:

Anyone know where I can get a 700mm Gas oven? It cannot be a stand-alone.

This size seems to be as scarce as hen's teeth, and my kitchen is designed in such a way that I cannot increase the size to 900mm, and 600mm is too small.

Yup. There it is:
Lol sorry. Posted one first and couldn't remember if I actually posted it!
