Hey there, I need something I can't find. We renovated our kitchen, and also got a gas stove. I want to boil water for tea and coffee on the stove, to save electricity, and also just for the fun of it. A while back I saw a very nice looking kettle which is designed for that, but can't remember where, and we searched all over, without luck.

Does anyone here maybe know where I can get something like this? Something nice looking, not this old hart kettles, that I have one for camping.

Thanks

dafuq two and a half grand for a metal container?

Ah perfect, found some at yuppiechef.

Thanks

Do yourself a huge favor too...get a big flask that you can fill with hot water. Those gas burner kettles take ages to heat the water up.

With a flask, you can boil a liter or two and then keep it piping hot in a flask. Works great, especially when you have a baby in the house

Problem is people have a tendency to heat more water than they need.

Thing is, the main reason for this is not to save electricity, although we will.

We got ours from Dischem. Simple design and works. Just as well as any other luxury brand. But I do like the flask idea, as this will save even more in the long run ;)

+1, even now in the winter, water cools down quicker. Flask is a great help.

You got a Full house in your area? Bought one there for R160. Made in Germany, nogal.
Nope, just the basic chain stores. But I like this makro, clicks and dischem ideas, will definitely give them a visit.

We used to do this as well. We found a small electric kettle that takes 800ml of water. So we boil just enough for a cuppa or two.
Recently, started using a flask and cut down on the number of times that the kettle is switched on.

mrp home sells, R150. We bought one and it works well, whistles and everything lol.

I saw those cheap ones at Spar the other day. They keep them where they put all the Paraffin stuff. Those and these cheap pancake pans. I suppose it's for the use with the paraffin stoves.

These are the ones you get at Spar:
