I noticed a whole bunch of logs on my device and took a look and saw that the Gautrain app has been posting my location to geolytics.afrigis.co.za/GeolyticServer/GeolyticServlet.

I am not surprised that there is an app posting out my data - am just wondering why? Only thing I can think of is make better decisions on a bus route? I know there is bus tracker functionality but I do not use that.

They posted a total of 20161 times since May last year.

Looks like Afrigis built the Gautrain app.
I see on AfriGIS website: "AfriGIS plays a small part in making the Gautrain operate. Gautrain make use of our Geographic data and Map serving technology for both the web and mobile devices. The Gautrain application runs on all major mobile phone platforms and uses the Marbil mobile advertising platform."
