Gautrain bus driver shot in Centurion

Gautrain management confirmed that a bus driver was shot and hurt in Centurion on Monday morning.

It is unclear what the motive for the shooting is, but it is believed it may be related to the disgruntled former drivers, who were dismissed after they embarked on a strike.

Gautrain’s Errol Braithwaite said nobody else was injured in the accident.

“Fortunately, nobody else was injured and the driver is in a stable condition in hospital. However, as a consequence, we have suspended the trial running of Gautrain bus services in Centurion, Pretoria and Hatfield."

You just need a few incidents like these to totally shock consumer faith in any system. There will also be protests soon in which they will be asking for improved security and more money...
