GConnect issues?

Mine has been VERY slow for the last 24 hours and atm nothing wants to load.

Anyone having any issues with them?

Wondering if I should risk getting another 30 day broadband pass if they going to be this slow.
 
at last, i was thinking that i was alone!
i'm on the 30 day 27GB pass.

today i have had to login 5 times as my connection kept timing me out and since yesterday my torrents were going at 20 Kb/s or less , except for a 20 min window where all was normal.
i'm on a 4mb line
 
by the way, i have been trying to post the above message for the last 5 minutes but my connection was *****ed.

Yeah I'm also on the 30 day 27GB pass...will try it again later but yeah I think it was too good to be true...
 
Have you guys tried contacting them? They are quite quick to sort out any issues, and my speeds are great?
 
I have emailed them now. Will see what their response is, if any.
 
PS I have tried another ISP and the speeds were great so it's definitely an issue on their side.
 
They seems much better this morning and tech support did email me back saying they've been having issues with their servers so they have been updating them for the last few days.
 
guess who is not buying another 30 day pass or any other product from gconnent?Me! Half the pages I visit don't load correctly and its slow as hell. On afrihost I may pay more but I dont have to keep logging into their stupid system and I also get quality internet. Im moving back. Goodbye crap internet!
 
Apart from the fact that I went through 9 gig in a week, and if you leave your connection idle you have to re-type in the bandwidth password I haven't had any issues with these guys so far.
 
always logging in is an issue for me...
for the past 2 days it keeps timing me out and they you have to renter your name and p/w.
at least on afrihost i didnt worry about that..
if im out of town with torrents downloading, with Gconnect, i worry that when i come back there will no progress.

i was just trying G connect to see how they are..well, its back to Afrihost for me.
 
Yep the 27 gig 30 day pass here too. Adsl. Last few days have been insanely bad. Ran winmtr with a 9% loss at one point. I have been on GConnect since about mid feb and they have been great so far. Connection manager is a little annoying but I have had full line speed and generally no downtime, plus the prices are awesome, particularly since the low cost uncapped services have all been dismally unstable up to now. But as I say last few days its really died. Was trying to play an MMO last night and during about a 12 hour session I had to relog at least a hundred times.
 
Contacted GConnect, they say all is well on their end, and my line is at fault. So on I go to the 5 day run-around with Telkom support.
 
I am trying to switch to G-connect, Should I? because reading some of the posts I am starting to doubt them. Please advise
 
I think I'm done with them. I will also try Afrihost. Sick of sukkeling :)
 
Rash I still say go for it. Its easy to get a account, and with the 30 day broadband passes you dont even have to commit to them for long. If the service doesn't work for you, its really easy to switch and go somewhere else. Plus as far as I can tell, it really is the cheapest bundled around.
 
their prices for 27gb are the only reason i'm sticking around!
all of a sudden R29 seems like a bit much to pay for 1gb when GConnect offers it for R14-40.

also you get 30 days from purchase to use it...useful if you buy bandwidth at the end of the month.
