Gear lever does not shift from Park (Automatic)

Honda Jazz (2012) has this issue. Funny thing is that after using the shifter lock override, moving through the other gears is no problem. It's only a problem when moving from P.

Any suggestions on who can assess in Centurion area?

Had a similar issue on one of my older auto's. Turned out to be the link/trigger between the brake pedal and gear lever was broken. The lever did not sense that the brake pedal was depressed and therefore did not "unlock" the shifter.

If it is a sensor or link issue, can I get it replaced at an indy?

+1 on sensor ... more than likely.
Afaik a Nissan Pathfinder does the same when it doesn't sense the brakes working.

Yes, I think a good Honda Indi should have no issue replacing it.

Maybe check with Moreleta Service Centre . Took my CR-V there for a service and they went out of their way to source a specific part which they could easily have gotten from the local dealer at double the price

Whilst you are getting the A/T gear selector issue diagnosed & resolved, it might also be a good time to have the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) drained & changed as well...
