Gears 5 on steam

Not sure if this is the right place but thought I'd tell peeps before they fix it. Gears 5 is currently on Steam for R329/R439 but on XBox store it's R1000+. Pretty sure someone messed up the pricing on steam so might wanna grab it before they realize.

At least MS is trying with gaming as a service (I think). Currently doing a bit of vampyr with my xb game pass for pc (beta), will of course checkout gears 5 :thumbsup:
 
The F1 series also has that price in the SA Steam store. Super stoked every year to pay so little for it.

Not buying Gears 5 though as it's in the PC Game Pass.
 
And you can now get the first 3 months of game pass for $5... Really worth it, played many games I'd never have bought for the full price.
 
It was R999, saw last night for 400. Bought it.

I got Xbox 1 but im pc gamer by heart!

It is regional pricing, was the same when MK11 came out, R350ish on steam, consoles R1000 etc.

On the one hand its awesome since you can buy new released games at affordable prices, but on the other hand feels a bit insulting :laugh::unsure:
 
Holy crap, it really is R329 (standard edition) and the ultimate at R439 at the moment. It was R999 on Steam as well for the past 2 weeks since they revealed the pricing.

I have Xbox Game Pass on PC too, so not really sure if I should buy it on Steam. Maybe I'll buy it just to show my support for MS for buying their games on Steam :unsure:. Will give it some thought till I get home, but sheesh, that's good pricing for our region on Steam. It's even cheaper than cdkeys.com, LOL!

Although, now that I think of it, the Steam version of Gears 5 should be mod-able compared to the Game Pass version, so yeah, guess I'm buying it on Steam then :D

EDIT: Speaking of Gears, I can finally enjoy Gears 2, 3 and Judgement on PC via the Xenia emulator. Been playing some bot multiplayer matches and having a blast while I wait for Gears 5 :cool:

At least the game has cross-platform multiplayer, so buying it on Steam, means you can still play it against Xbox and PC players :)

The 999 price was too much. Then I saw R439.. full version. I was yes please. That is very cheap!

At first I thought it's a different game (then I saw MS publishing it lol). R329 is uber cheap!

Indeed.

Once I got home from work I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition on Steam. I see a few of my friends on Steam also purchased it, so it was a no-brainer in the end. I will also buy Halo MC Collection day one. About time MS got their act together and bring the MC Collection to PC :)

If you're both an Xbox and PC gamer, then why not get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

R200pm for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold and PC Game Pass. It's a bonkers quantity of high-quality games.
