Intel CEO was forced out

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger was forced out after the board lost confidence in his plans to turn around the iconic chipmaker, adding to turmoil at one of the pioneers of the technology industry.

The clash came to a head last week when Gelsinger met with the board about the company’s progress on winning back market share and narrowing the gap with Nvidia, according to people familiar with the matter.

The stuff up with the 12th to 14th gen CPU's is enough for him to have been fired, I'm sitting with a dying i9 CPU that only boots every second try due to Intels nonsense and dishonesty due to this idiot.

Why don't you RMA?

Thought it was only 13 and 14 series?

Probably could have been avoided if they did not stress the chip that much just to beat AMD. They really need to get their power draw and thermals in check.

Pat had nothing to do with that.

They really need to get their power draw and thermals in check.
That’s exactly what they did, then people complained that performance was not good enough.

So they can't have good performance and low power draw? AMD seems to have that sorted.

When you overhaul your entire architecture, you fall behind for a bit while you iterate on the design to get it to full potential. Pretty much exactly what happened with first generation Zen from AMD.

Aye-em-deeeeee!

NVidia is releasing an arm cpu next year. If there’s one thing Jensen doesn’t like, it’s getting beat by his cousin Lisa.

Lisa is pretty OP though, so let’s see.
