Yesterday ChatGPT was emphatically convinced there was no AirPod 3 Pro, I asked two or three times and it still said there is no such thing. AI is really dangerous in that regard, it can get such basic things horribly wrong and be convinced of it.

Yip. Unless there is an actual working link to a source, you can't believe a word the thing says. It will just make stuff up and when you ask it for the source of the information it will just make up the source as well. And even if it provides a link, half the time the website that is linked does not even contain the information it said it sourced from there.

AI is useful for simple stuff but anything in-depth and it's just useless and becomes an endless headache trying to navigate through a sea of hallucinations.

TNW reports that the study analyzed more than 10,000 TikTok videos.

Nearly six out of every ten videos TikTok serves to a brand-new account are AI-generated junk. That is the central finding of a report published by video editing platform Kapwing, which analysed 10,742 TikTok videos across 20 popular categories and separately examined the first 500 videos shown on the For You page of a freshly created account.

Indiana mayor secretly recorded saying AI data center protestors only live in 'sh***y' houses​



Scott Ferguson (R), the mayor of Shelbyville, Indiana, was caught on camera insulting community members who were opposed to a proposed data center project near the city. The mayor's office has been forced to issue a statement after he was secretly recorded claiming he had only seen 'No AI data center' signs in "sh***y," unkempt houses.

Ford has rehired hundreds of veteran engineers after relying too heavily on AI-powered automation failed to improve vehicle quality, with experienced staff returning to retrain younger employees and refine the company's AI tools, according to a Bloomberg report.

Over the past three years, the automaker has brought back 350 "gray beard" engineers, many of them former employees, to identify design flaws before production and improve AI models with decades of real-world expertise.

Ford executives said the move has helped reduce warranty and recall costs while propelling the company to the top spot among mainstream brands in J.D. Power's latest Initial Quality Survey, underscoring that AI alone could not replace the experience of seasoned engineers.
