Anyway I uploaded a screenshot of the page and now ....

There is only one source though. So it is even making up excuse now :laugh: :X3: :cautious:

Suno has long acknowledged that its AI music generator relied on the scraping of millions of songs available across the internet, but a new hack reveals just how the company pulled from streaming services and websites such as YouTube Music, Deezer and Genius to power its product — all while user information remained vulnerable.

A report in 404 Media on Wednesday, relying on data a hacker provided to the outlet, showed the instructions in the company’s source code had it scrape files from “genius_hq, youtube_music, freesound, jamendo, imp, deezer,” with the stock music libraries Freesound, Jamendo and the International Music Score Library Project among the other sources scraped. The instructions demanded that “non-music” be filtered out. The hacker also had access to Suno’s customer list, which included emails, phone numbers and Stripe payment details, according to the report.

Flathub said no to AI slop. The data says they were right.

When Flathub announced it would reject AI-generated apps, there was some backlash. "Gatekeeping." "Anti-open source." "Who decides what's slop?, "Luddite move".

Well, now we have an answer. A clear answer.

A developer went back and analyzed 120 apps Flathub had rejected under this new AI policy.

73% of those repositories are now completely abandoned. Many deleted their source code. Some of the accounts are gone entirely.

These weren't passion projects that got unfairly rejected. They were throwaway apps that were never meant to last.

We call them "abandonware".

Flathub held the line, and the Linux app ecosystem is cleaner for it.

Because creating apps is not the hardest part, maintaining them is.

This is what good stewardship looks like. Not every "open" door should stay open.
