Will give this a watch but for me the key to a good Moka brew is very low heat.If you want to nerd out give this a watch
With which known brand of instant coffee in SA does this compare?Bought at Walmart, my first time at a Walmart in Canada. Just under 60 ZAR before roughly 13% tax. Timmy's is a well loved Canadian brand. Well enjoy it back home.

I am not the kind of coffee-nista you areNot having a grinder is a bit of a tricky one as you want finer than the filter coffee, but not as fine as espresso. Most people seem to be okay with these cheap grinders, just need to get the timing right. It wont be very consistent but it is somewhat doable.

Well, where are you planning to buy the coffee?I am not the kind of coffee-nista you are
What ground coffee can I buy that will work with the Moka?
Medium grind. Finer works too.I am not the kind of coffee-nista you are

Well, where are you planning to buy the coffee?
You can go to any roaster / coffee bean supplier and ask them to a go a moka ground for you.
If you buy the stuff on the shelf , whatever ground coffee they sell is probably the best you can get.
Or otherwise just get freshly roasted beans and a little blade grinder, which has already been linked above.

Plug it in, add beans and press / hold button. The grinders are cheap but in addition to the Moka training, I will need another course to work the grinder![]()
I think you should keep to Frisco then. Not sure how you managed to stay alive until now.The grinders are cheap but in addition to the Moka training, I will then need a second course to work the grinder![]()
Is it too little, or too much coffee that makes you such a grump? I asked for advice because you seem to know a little bit more than the rest of the folks here about coffee, but your attitude sucks.I think you should keep to Frisco then. Not sure how you managed to stay alive until now.
Sorry about that. Let me try again. Is it too little, or too much coffee that makes you such a grump? I asked for advice because you seem to know a little bit more than the rest of the folks here about coffee, but your attitude sucks.

Pressing the button on the blade grinder machine is similar to open a box like this
