General coffee thread

Thank you DunDarach for posting this. I might now consider a Pod machine now.

YW - it's the only reason I have a pod machine. It's a ripoff any other way. My advice though is to go with either a nespresso compatible or nespresso original because the reusable pods are more common and you have more options including neat foil sticker types that you can pre-fill and stick away.

My new go to drink at night is Nomu Skinny Hot Chocolate with a teaspoon of Nescafe Gold. Half hot milk, half boiling water.

My own instant Caffè mocha before bed.

I have one of those nespresso machine and bought some of the reusable pods. What type of coffee do I put in the pods? Filter, ground, beans or what?

I enjoy Douw Egberts Kenyan instant coffee but what else can I try?

Got it yet?

I see it's on Takealot and coffeeandtea.co.za.

I got it yesterday - it's tasty and strong. Puts the MOER back into moerkoffie :)
No, its seriously nice - I got the espresso. Very robust and slightly bitter but tasty like a good piece of dark chocolate. Arrived very quickly with the couriers.

If your ever near the airport stop in at Adriatic 89 Newton rd germiston its close to the Makro. These people import an Italian coffee brand called Segafredo as well as coffee machines, the basic home models pod machines all the way up to R100k 6 station commercial machines. They will sell directly to the public and are nice people. They also import all sorts of foods and equipment from Italy. You are allowed to walk through the warehouse and shop to your hearts content. You also get a fresh cup of coffee of your choice when you shop. Ask for Roberto.

I went to a coffee shop in Greenpoint, it has a nice flavor , claims of the high caffeine content is questionable, i fell asleep 2 hrs later.
