General coffee thread

Which brand/online show stocks decent coffee beans? Obviously I want premium grade and not some "pnp no name brand"; should at least state manufactured and best before dates.

The long o-tell-o/reason(s)
I'm dumping pierrelotti.co.za as of today, well that is the idea after yet another order 24 hours being ready, but haven't left their premises. Seems something has changed over their as their quality of beans also have dropped when I looked at few bags of dark roasted to what I get nowadays. Which actually isn't a dark roast at all but medium being sold as such. I mean if you actually every have roasted beans yourself or use to getting actual grade of roasted beans you would know.

Now I suppose I would have to remind again as with the previous order that my order it ready but not shipping from their premises.

They usually deliver very quickly, with pretty fresh roast dates. Like a few days old usually not more than 5
I hope so, because nowadays it takes up to 7 days to have something delivered from pierrelotti; and I'm taking about PTA to PTA. Sigh... they use to be same and next day deliveries.

I hope they deliver quickly, I'm in Durban and usually my orders arrive within 3 days. Like order Monday receive Wednesday. It's a shame I see the Columbian is out of stock, that's probably my favourite coffee from them! The Timor Leste is great for pourover. Would like to retry all of their beans now that I finally have an espresso machine

So... eta is today after ordering yesterday. Nice job.

Having tried so many different and freshly roasted roasterys, terbodore being my favourite, I was lazy and bought Woolies.
Awful and bitter (extract time was 20-30s), never again

There are different beans at woolies. Which one?

If it is bitter, then the problem was on your side and not theirs. Even the worse of beans should not be bitter, assuming they are still fresh enough to make a cup.
