The Wholesale Coffee market is highly Internationalised and buyers usually go through narrow channeled sources. So those supposedly high grade Italian Roasted 100% Arabicia beans could well be sourced from the same distributor Pick n' Pay has ultimately got theirs.
The quality of the roast, blend and freshness is a more important factor than a particular brand.
Giovannis at Greenpoint in CT for example, is a staunchly Italian Deli who have a long held reputation for good authentic coffee. Last time I was there, they were using a local brand of coffee in their grinders.

That's why I love my DeLonghi Magnifica - cup after cup of freshly ground coffee at the press of a button.just got the last cup. its a bit cold but mmmmm!

I found it messy and kind of smelly - it's obviously a labour of love and since I pay the same for my beans roasted or green there wasnt any savings involved.It doesn't take much of my time, really. I have a R140 Logik 1200 W popcorn machine that I modded with a Coke can to extend the "tube length" where you put the coffee (popcorn) in.
I put about 140 g of green beans in, not too little else it doesn't heat up, not too much else the beans don't rotate and they burn. I switch the machine on, walk away and come back after about 5 to 10 minutes depending on the ambient temperature to remove the beans at around 2nd crack. I throw the beans into my oven's baking pan to cool, quickly sweep the chaff from the beans out the garage door and I've got about 14 cups of coffee freshly roasted.
